Education

Education has been a recurring theme throughout my career. Since 1994, I have taught design history, design theory, and design research to numerous bachelor's and master's students in higher education and academic settings. I currently teach third-year students in the Master of Architecture program at ArtEZ. In my classes, I integrate theoretical knowledge with practical design and research skills as much as possible. Besides lectures and tutorials, I also give lectures and workshops on design, design education, and design research. Most lectures are part of or arise from my publications and research projects. As part of my role as a lecturer and professor, I have also organized various workshops, usually in collaboration with artists and designers. Most of these workshops take place within art education settings. I also organize workshops for professionals as part of research processes aimed at encouraging optimal collaboration between project partners.
